- Founding engineer and sole technical hire. Own a Dockerized TypeScript monorepo
and all infrastructure on DigitalOcean, including Postgres.
- Shipped an AI indexing pipeline on Google Gemini and Twelve Labs Marengo –
natural-language search across millions of images and videos.
- Architected media upload and storage on Redis and BullMQ queues into
Cloudflare R2, fronted by a Next.js grid that renders tens of thousands of items
instantly via CDN-cached Cloudflare Transformations.
- Created an Electron desktop app that scene-detects a 2+ hour video with ffmpeg and
exports 40+ GIFs in seconds.
- Made markdown editing collaborative in the style of Google Docs, on Yjs CRDTs that make conflicts
impossible.
- Stood up billing on Stripe with tiered plans and trials, an internal feature flag system, and
PostHog instrumentation on retention and conversion.
- Backed it all with 750+ Vitest suites (unit plus integration against real
Postgres) and 65 Playwright end-to-end specs, plus commit-time static gates that
block unsafe database mutations and untyped escape hatches before CI.
Lead Full-Stack Engineer
- Lead engineer across ~20 climate data projects supporting scientists at NOAA and the NSF.
- Delivered a particle simulation app for coastline oil spills and lost-vessel search, used by regional coastal
offices for emergency training.
- Gave New England Aquarium researchers a Next.js dashboard for the endangered Right Whale –
mating trends, injuries, and the health status of every identified animal.
- Wrote a React and D3 charting library for granular climate data, then wrapped the
components as WordPress plugins so non-technical staff could build their own tools.
- Unified credentials across the team's 50+ NOAA micro-applications behind a centralized JWT
authentication system.
Full-Stack Engineer
- Lead developer on 8 client projects at a software shop, spanning every stack and stage of maturity.
- Replaced a pen-and-paper medication system that risked dangerous mixups with a React Native app for
in-home caregivers.
- Launched a custom search engine for a digital coupon catalogue on AWS CloudSearch, fine-tuning the
weighting algorithm.
Lead Engineer, Sentiment
- Took a proof-of-concept from zero revenue to $1.1M ARR and 300+ national restaurant brands in 18 months, on
Vue, TypeScript, and Postgres microservices.
- Owned the review ingestion pipeline – tens of thousands of AWS SQS jobs per day across 10
APIs including Google Maps, Facebook, and TripAdvisor, with abstractions that unified webhooks and deduplicated batch
backfills.
- Sole engineer for the first year, then led a team of three. The product played a key role in Wisely's $187M
acquisition by Olo in 2021, and now powers guest intelligence for 600+ brands.
